Better Than Recess
Some people like to tell stories. Others, like Linda Gorham, can't help but sing, dance and shout their stories.
Hailing from Aurora,
Gorham is a captivating and energetic African-American storyteller whose original stories convey lessons about compassion, empowerment
and inner peace. Her tales transcend age, race and gender; teaching lessons about the threads that bind humanity.
Her work at schools throughout the state have even garnered the praises of the toughest audience: kids. One storytelling session
reportedly prompted a second grader to declare: "Mrs. Gorham is better than recess." If that's not the best endorsement one
can earn, what is?
