Freeing the Music Inside
The dancers of Jump Rhythm Jazz Project feel the music in their bones, and from there it guides them across the stage.
Under the guidance of artistic director Billy Siegenfeld, this Chicago-based company of dancers transforms their bodies into
visual percussive instruments, accentuating the swinging beat of jazz.
Through its innovative approach,
Jump Rhythm has been freeing the music inside dancers' bodies for more than fifteen years. Combining the influences of Fred Astaire,
Gene Kelly and the Nicholas Brothers with contemporary rhythmic jazz music, Siegenfeld and company create powerful bursts
of energy that will have you moving along to the music in no time.
