A Mother's Words

Zarina Mullan Plath translates the emotional experience of childbirth and motherhood into moving poetry.

A graduate of Illinois State University, Zarina now contributes poems to the same publications she helped edit as a student, creating support for independent literature as she becomes a celebrated poet in her own right. Her work richly describes the emotional experience of becoming a mother, as she follows in the footsteps of other female poets who try to grasp the enormity and impact of motherhood.
