Nature Girl

A lot of people think of redheads as fiery and mischievous, and jazz singer Spider Saloff does little to change their minds.

The elegant style and timeless vocal delivery of the Chicago vocalist secure Saloff's place in the long tradition of great female jazz singers. Her wicked humor and playful scatting, meanwhile, ensure that she's also a hit with the crowd.

Moving from New York to the Midwest more than a decade ago, Saloff established her reputation in the Windy City as a solid soprano with acrobatic vocal control. Not shy about leaving home, Saloff has performed at major jazz venues across the country and was even invited to St Petersburg, Russia, to headline the Gershwin Festival there.
