Chicago, IL - October 19, 2010

WTTW, Chicago’s premier public television station, announced today that the upcoming new national movie review series ROGER EBERT PRESENTS AT THE MOVIES will be filmed at WTTW’s studios, returning to the roots of Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel’s original Sneak Previews program. Active production is expected to begin in January 2011. WTTW National Productions will serve as the presenting station for the initial 26-episode season, which will be distributed nationwide by American Public Television. ROGER EBERT PRESENTS AT THE MOVIES will debut on WTTW on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 8:30 pm.

Series co-Executive Producers are Chaz and Roger Ebert; Chaz Ebert is Producer. Former WBBM Assistant News Director Don Dupree returns to direct this new series, after 15 years as a producer and director starting with Siskel & Ebert at the Movies and continuing with Disney until two years ago.

The program will feature film critics Christy Lemire (Associated Press) and Elvis Mitchell (National Public Radio), with occasional contributions from popular film bloggers Kim Morgan and Omar Moore and special appearances by Ebert himself, who will employ a computer voice to appear on every episode. The Associate Producer of the show is Sonia Evans. She worked as a production associate at ABC Studios in Burbank, and as VP of Development at Spicerack Productions, a company that developed and produced children's programming. David Plummer — who began his professional career as a college intern with Siskel & Ebert and later became Executive Producer of At the Movies — will serve as consultant.

The Eberts also announced that the new website for the show will be developed by Chicago company Table XI.
