Window to the World Communications, Inc. Announces WYCC To Broadcast MHz Worldview

For immediate release
Chicago, IL - March 23, 2018

Window To The World Communications, Inc., parent organization of WTTW and now also of WYCC, announced today that on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 5:00 am, WYCC in Chicago will begin to broadcast the international news and entertainment service, MHz Worldview. Over‐the‐air viewers can find Worldview on channel 20 by rescanning available channels on their televisions. Viewers will also be able to watch WYCC MHz Worldview on Comcast channel 372.

“In addition to our other television and digital offerings, we are looking forward to serving the WYCC audience with MHz Worldview programming,” WTTW Chief Operating Officer Reese Marcusson said. “Public media content is more important now than ever, and MHz Worldview brings news, mystery, and drama programming from around the world literally into view here in Chicago.”

As a result of WYCC’s participation in the Federal Communications Commission incentive auction for broadcast spectrum sale, WYCC temporarily ceased broadcast operations on channel 20 on November 27, 2017. In March 2018, with FCC approval, the WYCC license was transferred by the Board of Trustees for City Colleges of Chicago to WTTW.
