Ken Burns is back with a new documentary about THE DUST BOWL, which chronicles the worst man-made ecological disaster in American history that, throughout the 1930s, destroyed the farmlands of the Great Plains, turned prairies into deserts and unleashed a pattern of massive, deadly dust storms that for many seemed to herald the end of the world. The film also tells the morality tale about our relationship to the land that sustains us – a lesson we ignore at our peril.
Ken Burns will be visiting to give us a preview of the film, discuss the “making of,” and answer your questions.
