WTTW and Spiffy Pictures invite you to a sneak preview of NATURE CAT, an upcoming new animated series for kids ages 3-8 premiering nationwide on Wednesday, November 25 as part of the WTTW Kids lineup.  Members of the Spiffy Pictures production team will be on hand to introduce a NATURE CAT episode, answer questions, and share some “behind the scenes” insights about the creation of the series.

Designed to encourage children to explore and develop connections with the natural world, NATURE CAT follows Fred, a house cat who dreams of exploring the great outdoors. In each episode, once his family leaves for the day, Fred transforms into Nature Cat, “backyard explorer extraordinaire.” Nature Cat can't wait to get outside for a day of backyard nature excursions and bravery, but there’s one problem: he’s still a house cat with no instincts for nature. With the help of his animal friends, Nature Cat embarks on action-packed adventures full of nature investigation, “aha” discovery moments and humor.

This is a free event presented by the Chicago International Children's Film Festival. Seating is limited, so please register at cicff.org.

Major funding for Nature Cat is provided by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and the Van Eekeren Family, founders of Land O’Frost.
