A. The event site opens at 7:30 am. You can feel free to arrive earlier, especially if you need to pick up your Event Packets or plan to register on-site.
A. The event activities will end at noon.
A. Yes. The 5K Fun Run will begin at 9:00 am, so if you'd like to run, please be prepared to start at that time. The 3K Family Walk will start at 9:30 am after the 5K Fun Run has begun and the course will remain open for walkers until the event ends at noon.
A. Yes. Children are welcome to participate in the 5K Fun Run. Strollers are also welcome.
A. No. The walk and run are on different courses, to ensure safety and comfort for participants in both events. View map of course.
A. Yes. Beginning at 8:00 am, there will be complimentary food and beverage service for all registered participants.
A. Your goodie bag will contain a schedule of event activities and a map of the walk course, run course and the start/finish infield area.
A. No. Pets are not allowed at the event. Thank you for understanding.
A. Yes. Gear check will be available from 7:30 am until noon at the event. There will be an on-site stroller parking area/lot.
A. If you are already a WTTW11 member, just bring your membership card or other proof of membership to the performance tent for admission on the morning of the event. The special pre-race concert with Ralph's World begins at 8:00 am. Not a WTTW11 Member? A. Ralph's World's first performance from the Main Stage will begin around 10:00 am.
A. All the tents will be clearly marked and will also be indicated on the event map in your goodie bag.
A. No. Children under age 2 (24 months and younger on the day of the event) are admitted free, but will not receive an official event T-shirt, goodie bag or event number. If you'd like a T-shirt, goodie bag and event number for your child, they must be registered as participants.
A. Yes, official event T-shirts will be available for purchase on event day. T-shirts are available in adult and youth sizes. All T-shirts are traditionally sized, 100% pre-shrunk cotton.
A. Please hope for good weather, but the event will go on rain or shine.
A. All children must be accompanied by an adult and all participants must be registered. Please remember that your registration is a donation to WTTW, helping to support quality children's programming.
A. Advance Registration will close on Wednesday, August 14th.
A. Goodie Bags will be available for pick-up all morning long, from 7:30 am until noon. You can also pick up your Goodie Bags at Fleet Feet Sports/Lincoln Square, 4762 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago on Thursday, August 22 from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm, or at Fleet Feet Sports/Piper's Alley, 1620 N. Wells, Chicago on Friday, August 23 from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm, or at East Bank Club, 500 N. Kingsbury in Chicago on Saturday, August 24 from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm and on Sunday, August 25 from 9:00 am until noon. Advance Packet pick-up for pre-ordered T-shirt(s) and event number(s) is also available at these locations.
A. Limited walk-up registration may be available and is subject to an on-site processing fee. Please plan to arrive by 8:00 am to complete walk-up registration. Walk-up Registration will begin at 7:30 am.
