Aqua Tower made waves in the Chicago skyline in 2010 with its striking 82-story façade, featuring undulating outdoor terraces that vary in shape and size from floor to floor.  The building gained international attention and recognition — not only for its thrilling sculptural energy, but also for its innovative use of material and form.

In September 2011, Jeanne Gang, the leader of Aqua Tower architects Studio Gang, was named a MacArthur Foundation Fellow.
