It seems like on St. Patrick's Day everyone and everything is Irish. But what to do the other 364 days of the year when you're missing the Emerald Isle?

For that there's Chicago's bohola, a four-member Irish American ensemble formed around the talents of virtuoso Jimmy Keane on accordion and Pat Broader on dordan (a mix of a bouzouki and a guitar).

Named after a small town in western Ireland, bohola plays traditional tunes for modern audiences. Their music is driving and lively and, bolstered by the fiddle and guitar, weaves a musical path back to the band's Irish roots.

Irish Voice praised bohola's debut album, which features both traditional and updated Irish tunes, as "one of the most impressive debut recordings ever by an Irish traditional music group."
