Twirling and stomping, the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago brings to life the richness of Mexican culture and heritage.
Founded in 1982 by José Luis and Matiana Ovalle, the company performs dance styles from all regions and all eras of Mexico.
Through traditional dance and costuming, the company shares with its dancers and audiences a sampling of Mexico's long and
rich history.
Whether they're fitted out in the cowboy gear of the arid north or in the brightly embroidered peasant outfits of the tropical
south, members of the Mexican Folkloric Dance Company put on a colorful spectacle.
