Rooted In Nature
Nature is reflected throughout Barbara Cooper's art. From soaring sculptures in stainless steel to churning charcoal drawings
and tree like structures composed of layers and layers of wood veneers.
For sculptor Barbara Cooper, the focus is on the process, a process of growth, evolution and transformation, a process that
always begins with nature.
Cooper finds inspiration in her own backyard. Using scraps from lumber yards and construction sites she creates sculptures
that reproduce the details of the majestic trees found in her Chicago garden.
