Hot Jazz, Cool Breeze -- JazzFest Heritage Music Weekend is the pride of Chicago's South Side and the only African American-run music festival in the country.  With Lake Michigan on one side and the landmark South Shore Cultural Center on the other, there may not be a more perfect setting for a concert.

Here Comes the Sun -- Peoria's Sun Foundation shines every summer during Art and Science in the Woods. It's a week-long summer camp where the young and young at heart learn something new about their world and themselves.

Puppet Masters -- Chicago's critically acclaimed Redmoon Theater is known for its visually stunning performances, involving both human actors and larger-than-life puppets.  Warm weather finds them transforming public parks into surreal spectacles.

Fertile Photos - The work of photographer Paul Clark is rooted in suburban community gardens but his photos are anything but garden variety.  They dig into the relationship between plants and the many ways we try to control them.

Field Trip - Travel west to Oregon -- that's Oregon, Illinois -- for the annual Fields Project Arts Festival, where the farms become art and the fields are the canvasses.
