Inspired by Nature
WTTW-TV's host Phil Ponce explores how Illinois artists are inspired by nature.

Looking for Lincoln
In honor of the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth, this new episode of the arts newsmagazine Arts Across Illinois highlights creative responses to the life and legacy of our 16th president. Host Phil Ponce explores art in the Land of Lincoln, presenting segments on the Lincoln Trio; painter Don Pollack's exhibition The Lincoln Project; The Ravinia Festival's new musical tributes by Ramsey Lewis and Elbio Barilari; and the literary journal/public radio program Quiddity.

You Should See Yourself
Can art give us an identity crisis? WTTW-TV's host Phil Ponce explores how art shapes our identity. From the racism and stereotypes confronted in a new exhibit at the Illinois State Museum in Springfield, to amusing cardboard creations of Chicago, see how Illinois artists see themselves, and their communities. Arts Across Illinois is made possible by the Illinois Arts Council.

Arts Across Illinois
From Carbondale to Chicago, get tuned in to the work of some of the state's best musicians. Listen to the cutting edge sounds of Chicago's Fulcrum Point New Music Project and classic Copland from the St. Charles Singers.

Centerstage 2008
Arts Across Illinois concludes its eighth season with an annual television special featuring Illinois performers who received grants from the Illinois Arts Council.

The Write Stuff
Meet artists who have the write stuff – a Glencoe bookstore where the play's the thing, the novel ideas of Galesburg author Robert Hellenga and a statewide competition giving teenagers poetic license.
