Window To The World Communications, Inc. (WWCI), parent company of WTTW and 98.7WFMT, announced that it recently elected Allstate executive Marci Kaminsky to its Board of Trustees. She joins the existing 61-member Board to be part of the leadership team that will advance WWCI’s strategic plan and ensure the long-term vitality of Chicago’s beloved cultural institutions WTTW and WFMT. Ms. Kaminsky was elected for a three-year term, to serve through June 2016.
“We are very pleased to welcome such a respected corporate leader to our Board,” said Norman R. Bobins, Chairman of WWCI’s Board of Trustees. “Marci brings a wealth of experience, highly specialized skills, and dedicated public service to our organization,” he added.
Marci Kaminsky joined Allstate in 2011 as a Senior Vice President in Corporate Relations. In this capacity she leads the company’s efforts on reputation leadership, corporate advocacy and CEO communications, as well as overall communication strategy, governance and integration. In 2012, she expanded her role to oversee Allstate’s media relations and strategic business communications functions, where she drives internal and external communication strategy on major corporate issues and initiatives. Marci brings two decades of experience leading public relations, corporate communications and corporate responsibility for top Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Allstate, Marci led communications and public affairs for Stryker, one of the world’s leading medical technology companies. She was also Vice President, Corporate Responsibility for United Airlines, where she was responsible for protecting and enhancing United’s public image through a strategic approach to corporate reputation building. Marci has also held leadership positions at USG Corporation, BMO-Harris Bank, NutraSweet and Quaker Oats. She is active in the community, serving on associations and boards, including the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation and the Joffrey Ballet. She received her journalism degree from the University of Missouri and lives in Chicago with her family.
