Moderated by Chicago Tonight host Phil Ponce, the forum is underwritten, in part, by the City Club of Chicago and will take place in front of an audience of City Club members and guests. Viewers can watch the forum on WTTW11, wttw.com/news, on WTTW’s Facebook and YouTube channels, and it will simulcast on WBEZ 91.5 FM.
WTTW’s coverage will also include The Choice for Mayor: A WTTW News Special, a 60-minute program composed of two in-depth biographical documentaries of Lightfoot and Preckwinkle, premiering Friday, March 22 at 8:00 pm, with several re-airings prior to the April 2 runoff election; a comprehensive Digital Voters’ Guide at wttw.com/votersguide; and extensive, daily WTTW News coverage of the key contested races.
“This election will be historic for the city of Chicago no matter which candidate prevails,” said Mary Field, Executive Producer of WTTW’s nightly newsmagazine Chicago Tonight. “We want to give voters as much information as possible so they can make informed decisions when they head to the polls on April 2.”
