We started filming at one of our “10 Homes that Changed America”: the Gamble House, in Pasadena, California.

Designed in 1908 by Greene and Greene for David and Mary Gamble, it is the ultimate Craftsman bungalow, and one of the crowning achievements of the Arts and Crafts Movement in America. Just about every piece of furniture and fixture is a one-of-a-kind work of art—which is scary when you’re lugging heavy TV equipment through the house!

Many thanks to our interviewee, the Director of the Gamble House, Ted Bosley, who literally told us to “make ourselves at home” on our second day of filming.
