Screening & Discussion: Whose Streets?
WTTW, in partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, presents a free screening and discussion about Whose Streets? – an official Selection in the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.
When unarmed teenager Michael Brown is killed by police and left lying in the street for hours, it marks a breaking point for the residents of St. Louis, Missouri. Grief, long-standing racial tensions and renewed anger bring residents together to hold vigil and protest this latest tragedy. Told by the activists and leaders who live and breathe this movement for justice, this film is an unflinching look at the Ferguson uprising.
Join us at the Chicago Cultural Center for a free screening of the film, followed by a panel discussion. Learn more and RSVP.
