Don’t miss this free screening and discussion of the thought-provoking documentary American Creed: in a fractured nation, what ideals do we share in common? To find out, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David M. Kennedy teams up with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to investigate the idea of a unifying American creed. Their inquiry frames the stories of activists - including Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon and others - who are striving to realize his or her own vision of America’s promise across a deep divide.

There will be a brief discussion immediately following the screening; the conversation will be continued in more depth in an additional event the following week.

Registration required at wheatonlibrary.org/calendar or by calling (630) 868-7520.
