Join us at the American Indian Center of Chicago for a free screening of several episodes of the new WTTW Kids series MOLLY OF DENALI.

This groundbreaking new series for kids aged 4-8, premiering July 15 on WTTW11 and streaming on wttw.com/kids, is the first national children’s program to feature a Native American lead character. MOLLY OF DENALI follows Alaska Native Molly Mabray, a feisty and resourceful 10-year-old Gwich’in/Koyukon/Dena’ina Athabascan girl, who sets off on adventures that help kids develop literacy skills along the way. The series models Alaska Native values such as respecting others, sharing what you have, and honoring your elders, while showcasing strong female role models and showing how technology aids in communication.

This event includes a screening of several episodes from the series; a talk with Chicagoan June Thiele, a writer on the show; and fun activities for kids.

This is a free event; for more information, please call the AIC at (773) 275-5871.
