The number of victims of Chicago’s gun violence may fluctuate, but the psychological trauma in many neighborhoods is constant. How do wounded communities heal? In the new initiative FIRSTHAND: Gun Violence, WTTW explores the personal, firsthand perspectives of people whose lives have been affected by gun violence in Chicago. Join WTTW, in partnership with Leadership Greater Chicago, to watch selections from the documentary series and discuss the critical issue of gun violence in Chicago from different perspectives. WTTW News and Chicago Tonight Correspondent Brandis Friedman will moderate a discussion with two participants from FIRSTHAND – READI Chicago outreach worker Reality Allah and Community Policing Sergeant in the Austin 15th District Jermaine Harris – as well as WTTW producer/director Dan Protess and WTTW | WFMT President & CEO Sandra Cordova Micek.

Please note that there are no physical tickets. Your online confirmation will grant you entrance to the event, and we will have your name and number of seat reservations on a door list on the evening of the event.
