VOICES: A WTTW News Community Conversation
WTTW News invites you to VOICES: A WTTW News Community Conversation, a virtual event on Monday, June 27 at 12:00 pm.
Mental illness is one of the most significant health crises in the world—as pervasive as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease—but it often exists in secret and is endured in isolation. It’s where sadness leaves off and depression begins, where nervousness becomes anxiety, excitement becomes mania, and habit becomes addiction. It’s the place where simply living becomes painful.
Join WTTW News for this Community Conversation that focuses on youth mental illness. Chicago Tonight co-host Paris Schutz will moderate this important conversation in conjunction with Hiding in Plain Sight: Youth Mental Illness, a new two-part, four-hour documentary by executive producer Ken Burns, co-directed by Erik Ewers and Christopher Loren Ewers, produced by Julie Coffman, and written by David Blistein.
Hiding in Plain Sight: Youth Mental Illness will premiere on all WTTW platforms on Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28 at 9:00 pm.
