WTTW, in partnership with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, presents a screening and discussion of ’63 Boycott, a production of Chicago-based Kartemquin Films. In 1963, 250,000 students boycotted the Chicago Public Schools to protest racial segregation.

Eva: A-7063 – Screening and Discussion

WTTW, in cooperation with the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, presents a free screening and discussion of the new documentary Eva: A-7063, the incredible true story of Auschwitz survivor Eva Mozes Kor. From age 10, she and her sister Miriam fought to stay alive in the concentration camp while being subjected to Mengele’s infamous experiments on twins, and this film traces Eva’s journey to forgiveness, healing, and empowerment.

Their inquiry frames the stories of activists - including Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon and others - who are striving to realize his or her own vision of America’s promise across a deep divide.
