PBS NewsHour: The Trump Impeachment Trial

The United States House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to send two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump to the Senate, preparing the way for an impeachment trial in the upper chamber.

The Senate is expected to be sworn in for the trial as soon as Thursday. Senators will be sworn in by U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, who will preside over the trial. The trial itself will likely not begin in earnest until next Tuesday.

You can watch PBS NewsHour's special coverage of the hearings live, beginning Tuesday, January 21 at 11:30 am CT, or at any time thereafter, at wttw.com, on WTTW's Facebook page, or at PBS NewsHour's website.

In addition, WTTW will be broadcasting NewsHour's live coverage of the trial on WTTW Prime (11.2, channel 367 for Comcast subscribers, and channel 37 for RCN subscribers) beginning Tuesday, January 21 at 11:30 am CT. The coverage will be broadcast every weekday, and is expected to run each day until approximately 5:00 pm CT. It will be anchored by NewsHour's Judy Woodruff until 3:30pm CT each day.

The trial will be rebroadcast during primetime on our WORLD channel (11.3, channel 369 for Comcast subscribers and channel 38 for RCN subscribers). Primetime coverage is expected to begin around 6:00 pm CT.
