Geoffrey Baer’s new special Chicago by ‘L’ premieres Wednesday, March 4 at 7:30 pm. Explore the website at wttw.com/L where you’ll find an interactive guide to 43 of Chicago’s neighborhoods – from Andersonville to Woodlawn. You can read about the history and future of the ‘L’; watch stunning drone footage and video extras; find an animated “explainer” that gets to the bottom of the difference between wards, community areas, and neighborhoods; and browse a gallery of the art on the ‘L.’

The CTA's fundamental mission is to move people. They usually do this with trains or buses, but a unique art installation by artist and community activist Theaster Gates at the 95th Street Red Line station moves people in a different way: it makes them dance.

Titled AESOP, for "An Extended Song of Our People," the installation takes the form of a DJ booth, from which songs spill forth to entertain commuters. It's just one of the public art pieces that can be found at CTA stations throughout the city, which you can explore at wttw.com/L, launching March 4. And in the accompanying TV special, Chicago by 'L,  premiering March 4 at 7:30 pm or any time at wttw.com/L, Geoffrey Baer visits the AESOP booth–and he even moves his hips!
