All Creatures Great and Small premieres on WTTW or at wttw.com/live on Sunday, January 10 at 8:00 pm, and will be available to stream

Some forty years ago, a cherished show itself set forty years earlier charmed audiences in England and America. Now, a new adaptation of All Creatures Great and Small is coming to WTTW on Masterpiece in January. Based on the books of James Alfred Wight, which he wrote under the pseudonym James Herriot about his experiences as a veterinarian in the rural Yorkshire Dales, the series follows Herriot as he works alongside the eccentric Siegfried Farnon and encounters various country characters: the housekeeper Mrs. Hall, Siegfried's eager brother Tristan, the independent farmer's daughter Helen, and the preening Mrs. Pumphrey.

The new series (which has already been renewed for a second season) features several Masterpiece stalwarts: Mr. Selfridge's Samuel West as Siegfried, The Durrells in Corfu's Callum Woodhouse as Tristan, and The Child in Time's Anna Madeley as Mrs. Hall, as well as the late Dame Diana Rigg as Mrs. Pumphrey. Catch a trailer for the series below, and don't miss our weekly recaps of each episode.
