The Original 'Downton Abbey' Film Is Coming to WTTW for Christmas

Just in time for the holidays and as a pleasant preview of the upcoming new film Downton Abbey: A New Era, WTTW and PBS stations will be airing the original Downton Abbey film on Saturday, December 25 at 6:00 pm and Sunday, January 2. It's the perfect Christmas and New Year's gift!

The January 2 presentation will follow the premiere of the all-new Masterpiece adaptation of Around the World in 80 Days starring David Tennant so you've got an exciting evening to look forward to.

Downton Abbey: A New Era will premiere on March 18, 2022, so this is a good time to catch up on the first film, which premiered in 2019. And in the meantime WTTW Passport members can also stream all the seasons of the series. If you start now and really devote yourself to it, you might be able to binge-watch them all before WTTW airs the film at the end of the month!
