A 'Magpie Murders' Teaser Is Here

We have our first video of the upcoming Masterpiece Mystery Magpie Murders in a short teaser, below. An adaptation of a popular novel by Anthony Horowitz starring Lesley Manville as a book editor trying to find the final chapter of an unfinished mystery manuscript, it will premiere on WTTW and PBS stations on Sunday, October 16.
The teaser lays out the beginnings of the plot, as Manville's character Susan Ryeland sets out for Suffolk to find the final chapter of Alan Conway's book, which features detective Atticus Pünd. "The answer's in the book," she says as she becomes involved in the mystery itself. It might be a good idea to follow her advice and read the novel in the months before the show premieres!
