Sue and Me

Emily Graslie and her dad talk about the legacy of SUE in South Dakota.

Hi, my name is SUE, also known as Specimen FMNH PR 2081. SUE might roll off the tongue a little easier, though. I’m a T. rex fossil specimen that lives at the Field Museum in Chicago. Well, OK, I don’t live at the Field Museum because I am not technically “alive” anymore, but scientists have learned a lot by studying my bones. I am a terrific predator – just ask my friend Triceratops, though she might be biased. I might be old, but I’m pretty good on Twitter!

Take the quiz below to test your knowledge of my life, death, and discovery. Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone your grade!
