All Creatures Great and Small

We're only just beginning a second season of All Creatures Great and Small and we already have good news about the show: it has been renewed for a third and fourth season!

James argues for Tristan to take on more responsibility while standing up to Siegfried himself in making his own professional decisions. He once again finds himself entangled with the Alderson family when their dog gets loose. 

It's Christmas Eve, and Siegfried is hosting a big party complete. Mrs. Hall nervously awaits her son while Siegfried and Tristan try their luck at relationships. James ends up out on an emergency call with Helen the night before her wedding.

James's birthday is here! As Mrs. Hall and Tristan organize a surprise party, Siegfried refuses to admit he has the flu. James feels guilty for recommending a cow that now has a potentially deadly ailment. 

The Darrowby Fair is here, along with plenty of chaos and annoyances for James, the official veterinarian, to deal with, including an ethical dilemma involving the Alderson bull. Mrs. Hall's friend Dorothy visits again and strikes Siegfried's interest.

James grows closer to Helen while treating her under-performing bull while Tristan tries to prove he is responsible to Siegfried by taking on the care of Tricki Woo, Mrs. Pumphrey's spoiled and overfed dog. 

While Siegfried seeks a dream job as a racecourse veterinarian, James finds himself in a difficult situation with a racehorse. Tristan tries to make up for a shortage of cash, and Mrs. Hall helps Helen out with her sister Jenny. 

When Siegfried's brother comes home, James finds he has competition as Siegfried's assistant. He also finds he has romantic competition when he attends a party at the wealthy Mrs. Pumphrey's home, courtesy of her dog Tricki Woo. 

When the city-dweller James Herriot tries to get a job as a veterinary assistant in the rural Yorkshire dales, he finds himself in some unexpected situations but tries to prove that he's more than up to the task. 

The cherished drama about a veterinarian working in rural Yorkshire in the 1930s is getting a new adaptation that premieres on WTTW through Masterpiece this January.
