Last Tango in Halifax

In the series finale of Last Tango in Halifax, Alan and Celia approach their seventh anniversary, Ted goes on an adventure, Caroline tries to make amends, and Gillian ponders what to do with the farm.

Celia is getting tired of ushering Ted around, especially now that Alan is working and their kitchen is being redone. Gillian and Caroline hit their breaking points, and Judith has a surprising revelation that changes her relationship to John.

Something perplexing shows up on Gillian's farm on the day that Alan's brother Ted arrives from New Zealand with his own surprises in tow. Caroline prepares to entertain a possible romantic prospect, and John regrets some decisions. 

As Caroline's and Gillian's joint birthday approaches, Celia and Alan disagree on money, and Alan decides to apply for a job. Judith is coming to speak at Caroline's school, but John warns Caroline of a new problem—and Judith has a surprising proposal. 

As Christmas approaches, Alan faces humiliation while Celia is excited for the opening of their play. Caroline is beginning to doubt her career and life change, and Gillian and Robbie's marriage continues to prove less than perfect.

Ghosts of all sorts are showing up in Halifax, as Caroline gets a now job and moves into a new house with Alan and Celia in tow. Gillian begins to fear someone – or something – is out to get Robbie, and Celia takes up a new hobby.
