Max and Oskar uncover a nationalist sect that might be involved with Ida Rego's death and also begin to suspect that they might be set up as they uncover a hidden plot.

Max and Oskar witness the death of the star of a film at its premiere, and quickly begin investigating it as a murder. Soon, another actress, a fanatical admirer, and an American senator are all involved in the case.

Max enlists Clara to write a story to help with a case, turning also to his father and sister to play a role as he and Oskar set a trap for a burglar searching for hidden treasure who may also be a murderer.

Max gets in trouble when he tries to help a disturbed veteran at a military hospital who believes he is cursed, and then apparently commits suicide. Oskar is investigating some odd burglaries, but agrees to help Max, too.

Oskar and Max wrap up their investigation into a series of murders that fascinates Max and repulses Oskar, causing sordid secrets to emerge from a radical fashion house in the process.

A murder at a fashion house has Oskar repulsed and Max fascinated by the psychology of the killer. Clara is also interested in the world of Viennese fashion, while Max's sister and father could help provide clues, since they sell fabric.

Max and Oskar again team up to investigate the death of one of Max's patients, a widowed Hungarian countess who suffered from melancholia as Vienna Blood returns for a second season.
