WTTW, in partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and Kartemquin Films, presents a free screening of the local documentary film, In the Game. Set in a primarily Hispanic neighborhood on Chicago’s south side, the ups and downs of a girls’ soccer team from Kelly High School reveal the very real obstacles that low-income students confront in their quest for higher education. Immediately following the film there will be a panel discussion with the filmmaker, original documentary subjects, and community leaders, and a Q& A with the audience.
