In February 2024, WTTW will launch FIRSTHAND: HOMELESS, a year-long initiative revealing the many faces of homelessness in Chicago – both visible and hidden – to pull back the curtain on its varied and complicated causes.

In addition to a documentary series, community conversations, and news coverage, WTTW will produce five expert talks about the topic of homelessness, and you’re invited to be a part of the studio audience as these talks are filmed.

On January 6, please join us for WTTW’s FIRSTHAND TALKS – a day of reflections, personal stories, new ideas, and solutions.

Lead support for FIRSTHAND: HOMELESS is provided by Ann and Rich Carr. Additional support is provided by the Edwardson Family Foundation, Joel M. Friedman, President, Alvin H. Baum Family Fund, the Marc and Jeanne Malnati Family Foundation, and Peter and Alicia Pond.
