From the team behind "Half the Sky," "A Path Appears" uncovers the harshest forms of gender-based oppression and human rights violations, and solutions being implemented to combat them. This film investigates young women in America forced into a life of prostitution and the innovative programs that have evolved to achieve remarkable results in empowering their lives. Sex trafficking and prostitution are happening not just halfway across the world, but also in our own backyards in American cities.

After the screening, there will be a discussion with moderated by Sylvia Ewing with panelists Lynne Johnson, Policy Director, Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE); and Brenda Myers-Powell, Co-Founder, Dreamcatcher Foundation.

This is a free event.
