Member Perks - How to Redeem
50% Off Second Ticket to Hyde Park School of Dance
Hyde Park School of Dance (HPSD) offers fans of ballet, modern, and hip hop its annual presentation of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, featuring more than 175 dancers – primarily children ages 7 to 18 – including weekly students, members of the pre-professional Studio Company, and senior dancers who have grown up at the school. Staged by HPSD Founding Artistic Director August Tye, ballet mistress and choreographer at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the production includes a breakdance battle…instead of battling with swords, the mouse-soldiers tap into the power of hip hop to work out their differences through creative self-expression. Several Chicago VIPs perform as the honorary Mother Ginger.
The Nutcracker takes place December 13-15 at Mandel Hall, 1131 E. 57th Street in Chicago. WTTW members who purchase one full-price general admission ticket to the Friday, December 13 performance at 7:00 pm or the Saturday, December 14 performance at 6:00 pm may purchase a second general admission ticket to the same performance at half price. Tickets and information are available at (773) 493-8498, using code WTTW. For information, visit hydeparkdance.org.

$10 Off Tickets to Tandy Cronyn in The Tall Boy
Tandy Cronyn stars in The Tall Boy, winner of Best Adaptation in the New York City United Solo Festival. Set in occupied Germany in the aftermath of World War II, The Tall Boy couldn’t be more timely. An American relief worker, portrayed by veteran stage actress Tandy Cronyn, tells the story of three orphaned boys at a displaced persons camp for “unaccompanied children.” The boys have become mascots to the American GIs and dream of coming to America, but the U.S. isn’t welcoming refugees. The Tall Boy is a compelling story, with all characters portrayed by Cronyn, that will touch your heart while raising some bitter truths found in the pursuit of the American Dream.
To purchase tickets, use code WTTW at Stage773.com or when calling (773) 327-5252. Valid for performances at Stage 773, December 5-15, 1225 W. Belmont in Chicago.
