Bean Dip

Black beans

Ingredients

1/2 cup Salsa (Mild Pace or Tostitos works fine)
1 8 oz. package cream cheese (rectangular package, not in the tub)
1 can black beans
Ground cumin
Garlic salt

Directions

1. Drain and rinse black beans thoroughly. Set aside to dry or shake out excess water. (Excess water on the beans will make the dip too runny!)

2. Using an electric hand mixer, blend salsa and cream cheese together until smooth. Add in beans (I usually use about 3/4 of the can) and mix in with a spoon.

3. Sprinkle in cumin and garlic salt to taste (a healthy sprinkling will do—usually between 1/2 - 1 teaspoon) and mix into dip. Serve with tortilla chips, bagel chips, or sliced baguette.
