If you’re looking for an easy and healthy snack to serve at a birthday party, these mini cups of trail mix are a great choice. Creating your own trail mix is easy to do, and it’s a perfect treat for little observers on-the-go! Give them an Elinor Wonders Why spin by labeling them as squirrel snacks and even adding a paper character to each cup! If you’re catering to a nut allergy, simply omit the almonds and try something more allergy-friendly like rice chex cereal.

Ingredients

3 cups almonds
2 cups raisins
1 1/2 cups dried banana chips
1 1/2 cups M&M candies or milk chocolate chips
1 cup dried coconut flakes
1 cup dried mango slices
1/2 cup dried apricots
1/2 cup yogurt-covered raisins

Directions

1. Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl and mix.

2. Scoop 1/2 cup of trail mix into small paper cups. Add a paper character from Elinor Wonders Why by taping it to a toothpick and placing in each cup of trail mix.
