WTTW’s Popular Weekly Restaurant Review Series CHECK, PLEASE! returns for a 16th Season on Friday, October 14 at 8:00 pm

New for Season 16: Guest-Reviewers to Share Exclusive Weekly “Confessionals”

WTTW’s highly rated local restaurant review series Check, Please! and its website,, premiere a 16th season of all-new episodes on Friday, October 14 at 8:00 pm on WTTW11 and The first four Season 16 episodes are:

·         October 14 – Boston Fish Market, Charlatan, Bar Pastoral

Host Catherine De Orio welcomes three guest-reviewers to talk about three favorite eateries: talent manager Alicia James, who loves Boston Fish Market in Des Plaines; attorney Alex Dravillas, who recommends Charlatan in West Town; and artist Adam Thomas, whose choice is Bar Pastoral in the Lakeview neighborhood.

·         October 21 –  Nico Osteria, Little Bad Wolf, Greenhouse Inn

Real estate executive Christine Torres recommends Gold Coast eatery Nico Osteria; teacher William Ferguson chooses Little Bad Wolf in Edgewater; and radio show host Molly Cavanaugh touts Greenhouse Inn at the Misericordia Home in Rogers Park.

·         October 28 – Arami, Valois, Chicago Curry House

Financial advisor Steve Wilhusen recommends West Town restaurant Arami; CS team leader Henry Boyd loves Valois in Hyde Park; and global communications manager Megha Hamal chooses Chicago Curry House in the south Loop.

·         November 4 – de Quay, Artango, Mott Street

Wine consultant Lee Salzman recommends the Lincoln Park eatery de Quay; medical salesman Gil Cagua endorses Artango Bar & Steakhouse in Lincoln Square; and engineer Charles Drayton extols the virtues of Mott Street in Wicker Park.

New this season: each week, guests will share exclusive filmed “confessionals” online, dishing about their behind-the-scenes experiences taping the show.

Check, Please! is a cross-platform initiative with the weekly television show, a content-rich website that features new stories, videos, and web features each week, and active social media engagement on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. The sister digital series, Chat, Please!, features conversations with Check, Please! creator David Manilow and local food and dining notables for lively and revealing discussions about their passion.
