Chicago, IL - March 20, 2018
Chicago is known around the world for its vibrant, diverse, and collaborative restaurant scene, and WTTW’s Check, Please! has long served as the place for regular people to share their unvarnished opinions about their favorite eateries. Now, from the creators of this popular, cult-following series comes a new, fast-paced, and freewheeling series where three star chefs have fun cooking together – DISHALICIOUS.
Sarah Grueneberg – James Beard Award winner, Top Chef and Iron Chef Gauntlet competitor, and chef-owner of Chicago’s wildly popular Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio – serves as host of DISHALICIOUS, and in each episode, she will be joined by three notable local chefs who collaborate on a three-course meal in WTTW’s Grainger Studio (with each of them taking a course) in front of a live studio audience. Each episode features a different cuisine, with the emphasis on teaching audiences how to create these dishes at home.

“WTTW has a great history of presenting quality cooking programming and showcasing the best that Chicago has to offer,” says Executive Producer Dan Soles. “DISHALICIOUS continues that legacy. We are excited to share the incredible expertise of some of Chicago’s finest chefs, and are so fortunate to have Sarah Gruenberg as host. Her love of cooking, curiosity, and enthusiasm make her the perfect choice to lead audiences through this very special culinary experience.”
“This show is all about chefs cooking together and having a great time,” adds Executive Producer David Manilow. “Refreshingly, it’s about collaboration, not competition.”
DISHALICIOUS will premiere on Friday, April 6, 13, and 20 at 8:30 pm on WTTW11 and wttw.com/dishalicious.
The series is a co-production of WTTW and Cause & Effect, LLC. Executive Producers are Daniel Soles and David Manilow.
