The sequel to Magpie Murders is on its way, and we have a trailer (below) to build excitement before the premiere of Moonflower Murders on WTTW and PBS this September 15.

Susan Ryeland thought she had left her old life as a publisher in London behind when she decamped to Crete to run a hotel at the end of Magpie Murders. But another of the books of her late star author, Alan Conway, seems to hold clues to a fresh disappearance, so she's back on the case with the help of Conway's fictional detective, Atticus Pünd, to investigate the years-old murder upon which Conway based his book. It just happens to involve a hotel, so perhaps Susan will have some relevant experience.

In addition to returning cast members from Magpie Murders, Moonflower Murders will also feature some new faces,  Mark Gatiss of Sherlock and Nolly and Pippa Bennett-Warner of Roadkill among them.

If you need to catch up on the delightful but complicated plot of Magpie Murders, we've got recaps, while WTTW Passport members can stream it. Or you can read both Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders by Anthony Horowitz and see how they differ from the shows.
