Eliza is tasked with proving a man innocent after he is found holding a knife next a dead man. Financial woes also mount as she tries to maintain a business after the death of her father. 

The debts are piling up on Eliza Scarlet and her father, so Eliza is looking to help her father in his detective business. She has the skills, but a male-dominated world won't let her do the work.
