After a difficult last year, audiences will be receiving a welcome Christmas gift this year: another Downton Abbey movie. The sequel to the show's 2019 big-screen debut is due to be released December 22.

The beloved characters will all be there, with the original cast slated to appear, as well as some new personages played by Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Dominic West, and Nathalie Baye. The show's creator and writer Julian Fellowes will write the screenplay.

"I think it’s the sort of pleasurable release of a movie like the first one was, that audiences would enjoy after all of this mess we have been through,” Robert Crawley portrayer Hugh Bonneville said earlier this year.

Isn't that true.

While you eagerly await the new movie, all six seasons of the show are once again available to stream for your viewing pleasure via the PBS Video app or at video.wttw.com by Passport members
