The National Memorial Day Concert 2024 airs on WTTW Sunday, May 26 at 7:00 and 8:30 pm.
A holiday weekend tradition returns for its 35th year as PBS broadcasts The National Memorial Day Concert from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. This annual tribute to military personnel and their families mixes personal stories from the military with musical performances by celebrities, the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jack Everly, and various military performing groups. It is once again hosted by actors Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise, who both have Chicago ties.
