The capture of someone involved with the disappearance of Emma's family leads to the release of a hostage video, while Baptiste struggles with tragedy in his own past and seeks to aid Emma as she works outside the law to save her son.

When the husband and sons of the British ambassador to Hungary go missing, Baptiste, seemingly running from some recent sadness, offers his aid to help find them. The case spawns even greater tragedy. 

Baptiste and Genevieve search out the Romanian gang's inside source in the Amsterdam police while Edward continues to try to help Natalie's kidnapped sister, Cristina, and the investigation winds to a close.

Baptiste searches out Edward and the money and concocts a plan with Genevieve to try to turn Constantin to inform on the Romanian gang, while Edward tries to protect his ex-wife.
